Tasty Tuesday: Compliments Maple Wood Smoked Trout

I had never tried trout before, but I kept seeing this smoked trout in Sobeys, so I finally broke down and bought a package.  Honestly, it is delicious!
The trout didn't have a super 'fishy' taste, and I actually thought it was even milder than salmon.  The maple added a touch of sweetness, without masking the flavor of the fish.  Serve it with pickled asparagus and a bit of cream cheese for a great appetizer.
