Cherry Chocolate Cream Cheese Balls

Cream cheese anything is delicious, in my opinion, and I especially love it in any sort of dessert.  These little balls are bite-sized goodness that are very simple to make.

Ingredients for the balls:


2-8 oz. packages of cream cheese, softened
1 cup mini dark chocolate chips
20 maraschino cherries, use both red and green
1 cup granulated sugar

Ingredients for the hemp heart coating:
1/4 cup hemp hearts
2 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. granulated sugar

Directions:
1. Chop the cherries fine.
2. Mix cream cheese, cherries, chocolate chips and the 1 cup of sugar together in a bowl until well-blended.
3. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
4. After the mixture has chilled, melt the butter and mix in the hemp hearts and 1 Tbsp. of granulated sugar.
5. Roll tablespoons of the mixture into balls and then roll in the hemp heart coating.
Keep refrigerated.
